Pfizer - New York, NY (03/04 - 06/04)
The project was an effort undertaken with the goal of increasing the
reuse and sharing of information by creating a central repository for data
and documents and improving and automating processes within the tax
division. In order to meet this goal, new technical capabilities were
implemented within the tax division. One capability, The Process
Automation and Collaboration (PAC) system, leverages several packaged
solutions including Plumtree (portal), BizFlow (workflow), and Documentum
(document repository). ASP.NET and VB.NET were used to create the User
Interface forms and to manage communication between the forms and these
packaged solutions. The databases are hosted on SQL Server.
As a VB.NET Developer, I developed forms using ASP.NET which collected
information entered by the user performing standard business processes in the
tax division. I coded classes using VB.NET to persist this information
in the database, to retrieve it in later processing steps and to communicate
with the workflow and the document repository layers of the
application. I performed unit testing and was responsible for resolving
SIR’s posted during system test.
I also developed ‘administrative’ modules for use by the IT staff
performance when performing maintenance tasks on the production application
tables.

claims. Another application on the site provides the state with the ability
to collect Unemployment taxes from employers. My role was as a
developer on the Benefits team. I developed VB classes in order to
implement the Business Rule and Data Access layers of the solution coded test
cases using NUnit and performed unit test.

voters, votes counted for each candidate in each election, blank and void
ballots and a summary of the number of votes counted in each election
district. My role as a developer on the Central Administration portion
of the application was to create web pages to allow for display and update of
selected election result data, code COM modules for access to the application
database and write stored procedures to retrieve the required data from the
database.
